The Marco Players is the oldest not-for-profit, 501(c)3, community theater on Marco Island. As a volunteer-driven organization that operates year-round, The Marco Players deliver live community theater, music and display the works of local artists to residents and visitors of SW Florida.
Started in the 1970’s (est. 1974) as a children’s play reading group, it was eventually re-created as an adult community theater known as The Marco Island Players. In the late 1970’s, the Players incorporated as a non-profit corporation, now known as The Marco Players.
In the early 1990’s, with the cooperation of Marco Town Center Mall, The Marco Players settled into its current leased spaces which serve as the rehearsal space, box office, tech booth and 83-seat theater space.
